Watch The Ward Online

John Carpenter is a famous filmmaker who has worked often in science fiction and horror genres. It is one of the directors of the 1970's-80 mark. His credits include Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, The Fog, Escape From New York, The Thing, Starman, Big Trouble in Little China, living, many of which have been renovated or are developing a new version for the big screen. Carptener career reached a decline in the 1990s with films such as Memoirs of an Invisible Man, The Village of the Damned exhaust, Los Angeles, and Vampire $. Ghosts of Mars. Carpenter has not made a film in almost nine years.

This year's International Film Festival in Toronto, Carpenter is back on the big screen with a film called The Ward. Is mark a triumphant return to the carpenter? Unfortunately not.

Written by Michael Rasmussen and Shawn (the only credit product in the 2005 indie thriller, Long Distance), the story follows a young woman named Kristen (played by Amber Heard), who is institutionalized after apparently set fire to the house. Once inside, "Ward," Kristen is to terrorize the ghost of a previous patient.

The plot is beyond derivatives, and serves only as Carpenter can earn unexplained jump scares the public (shockingly high reveals music signals). The film is shot in an older approach that stands out more stilted than nostalgic. But who knows, maybe the film worked much better in 1980-s.

Kristen psychotic prisoners are all, like her, beautiful young women, the ugliest might go to a young version of Lauren Dern. Of course, this can be justified later in the plot to some extent (although I think it would not be much more than a pretext). But anyway, it seems to be an excuse to turn a shower scene with all the young women - who do not get me wrong, I am not against this form of exercise in genre films, but it is almost no purpose and functions, no real nudity
